Weather advisory

Shayal Devi
Sunday, February 23, 2014

A LOW pressure system moving towards the country is likely to intensify later this week.

A Ministry of Information statement yesterday said this would most probably affect most parts of the country.

"Weather patterns indicate a low pressure moving slowly towards the country and likely to intensify by Tuesday evening," the statement said.

"This low pressure is likely to bring a high volume of rainfall and produce strong winds.

"In light of this, government is encouraging members of the public to make use of current fine weather conditions to make the necessary preparations."

The public has been advised to monitor weather reports and advisories continuously in the coming days.
