Japan to fund construction of Lautoka fish market

Update: 12:26PM THE Japanese Embassy will provide funding assistance to the Western Division Fisheries Department tomorrow for the construction of the Lautoka Fish Market.

The funding assistance is worth $216,301. 

Japan Embassy stated that the Lautoka Port which was built in 1988 through Japan's grant-in-aid funding, has provided infrastructural support to artisanal fishermen in Lautoka, as well as those from the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups.
