Waqairatu's funeral service in progress

Update: 10:35AM THE funeral service for the late Methodist Church in Fiji president Rev Dr Tuikilakila Waqairatu is now occurring at the Centenary Church in Suva.

The church at Stewart St is jam-packed, attended by government dignitaries, political figures, church members, family, relatives and friends.

Waqairatu's body was escorted through the city from his Pender St home this morning.

Retired former president Rev Tomasi Kanailagi is officiating the funeral service.
