ATHLETICS

Middle and Long Distance Coaches Workshop

ATHLETICS Fiji will be hosting a two-day workshop for all middle and long distance coaches in the country. This is the first of its kind to focus mainly on the middle and long distance discipline. The workshop is funded by FASANOC in support of Maciu Koroitamana's ICECP Project. The workshop will be held at the ANZ Stadium Corporate Box from February 28 to March 1 from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Facilitators will be Samuela Yavala, Albert Miller, Beni Qumi and Maciu Koroitamana. Only 25 places are available so please confirm by email to mattkoroitamana44@gmail.com or 8670451 before February 21.

THE Design Engineering Fiji Limited sponsored 5-a-side tournament will be held at the South Seas Club futsal ground from February 27 to March 1. Nadi

PLEASE note club registration will close on Wednesday, February 26. All affiliated clubs are hereby advised to register their clubs on prescribed form with the Nadi Football Association for the 2014 season.

Lautoka Men's and Mixed

ALL clubs and teams interested to join the Lautoka Men's and Mixed Netball Association this season are welcome to attend the council meeting at Jasper Williams High school on Friday at 6pm. Umpires

To all Fiji netball umpires in Suva, Nausori, Nasinu, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Vatukoula, Ra, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Serua, Navua, Namosi and outer islands - the Fiji Netball Umpires meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, February 22 (10am to 12noon) at FASANOC. THE Martintar 7s tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from February 28 to March 1. Prizemoney: winner $3000, runner-up $1000. Attractive prizemoney for other categories. THE Viti FM Rara 7s tournament will be held at Naluwai ground in Naitasiri on March 28-29. First 32 teams to pay $300 entry fee will be accommodated. Main prize is $3000. Vanua Challenge

THE Vanua Challenge will be held at the FMF Gymnasium on February 28 and March 1. Registration fee of $100 per team to be paid by February 25 into bank account number 5527135 ANZ, Fiji Volleyball Federation Development account or FVF head office at the Vodafone Arena. All participating teams must register their teams and forms can be picked from the FVF office. Registration forms will be sent via electronic mail to Western affiliates. Briefing for Central Eastern teams will be held on February 25 at the FVF office at 5.30pm. Western affiliates will receive all relevant information about the Vanua Challenge via electronic mail before February 25. Gate fees will be $1 for children, $2 for players and officials and $4 for spectators. Central Eastern teams will begin playing at 10.30am on February 28and Western teams will begin at 2pm on the same day. For more information contact FVF Administrator Kenny Lidise on 9059099.
