Crab ponds to boost production

Update: 3:02PM ELEVEN ponds, which were launched in Navua yesterday, would help increase Crab Company (Fiji) Limited's annual potential production capacity to well over 100,000 crabs a year.

Speaking at the launch in Navua yesterday, Market Development Facility Mohammad Jalil said the ponds covered nine hectares of land which were fully operational.

He said the hatchery continued to be an area which would warrant more attention.
