A-G: Decree establishes right to access information

Update: 1:02PM PEOPLE will soon have access to confidential documents and information from an administrative decision-making process under the Freedom of Information Decree.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum  says the decree establishes the legal right of a person to be able to access information and documents when a decision is made by someone in authority such in a case of applying permits and licences.

He said the should be in place in the next couple of months.
