Middle and Long Distance Coaches Workshop

ATHLETICS Fiji will be hosting a two-day workshop for all middle and long distance coaches in the country. This is the first of its kind to focus mainly on the middle and long distance discipline. The workshop is funded by FASANOC in support of Maciu Koroitamana's ICECP Project. The workshop will be held at the ANZ Stadium Corporate Box from February 28 to March 1 from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Facilitators will be Samuela Yavala, Albert Miller, Beni Qumi and Maciu Koroitamana. Only 25 places are available so please confirm by email to or 8670451 before February 21.



PLEASE note club registration will close on Wednesday, February 26. All affiliated clubs are hereby advised to register their clubs on prescribed form with the Nadi Football Association for the 2014 season.


THE Navua Sanatan Local League competition for 2014 season registration fee is $50. Interested teams are welcome to join. Contact Sports co-ordinator/director Salesh Autar (Bale) 9533510, president Uma Nand 9996256 or secretary Rajesh Sharma 9219316.


PLEASE note that the RFA League season would start soon. All clubs are requested to update their dues with RFA together with registration. All new clubs wishing to join the RFA are to submit their applications by February 21. For details please contact Sanjay Chand on 9954061.


Lautoka Men's and Mixed

ALL clubs and teams interested to join the Lautoka Men's and Mixed Netball Association this season are welcome to attend the council meeting at Jasper Williams High school on Friday at 6pm. To all Fiji netball umpires in Suva, Nausori, Nasinu, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Vatukoula, Ra, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Serua, Navua, Namosi and outer islands - the Fiji Netball Umpires meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, February 22 (10am to 12noon) at FASANOC. FRU Workshops

THE Fiji Rugby Union will host workshops and clinics with the respective Unions in the country.

Lautoka Indo-Fijian 7s

THE Lautoka Fiji Indo Rugby 7s tournament will be held on March 1 at the Natabua High School grounds in Lautoka. All interested Fiji Indo rugby teams wishing to participate are invited to register. Contact tournament organizer Aaron Phillip on 9994227 for further information.

New Dawn 7s

THE New Dawn 7s tournament will be held at Gatward Park in Korovou. Entry fee is $160 and winner takes $1000. Contact 9728548 or 9369559.

Dritabua 7s

THE Dritabua 7s will be held on February 22 at Gatward Park in Korovou. Only first 24 teams will be accepted. Entry fee is $100. Winner gets $1000. Prizes also for plate and bowl winners. Contact Jope 9758391 or Sailasa 8462049.

Martintar 7s

THE Martintar 7s tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from February 28 to March 1. Prizemoney: winner $3000, runner-up $1000. Attractive prizemoney for other categories. Registration fee is $300 per team. There are only 48 places and interested teams are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. THE Viti FM Rara 7s tournament will be held at Naluwai ground in Naitasiri on March 28-29. First 32 teams to pay $300 entry fee will be accommodated. Main prize is $3000. THE Red Rock 7s tournament will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from February 28 to March 1. Total prizemoney is $10,000. THE Raiwaqa volleyball inter-lane knockout tournament will be held on Saturday at the Ed's court starting at 9am. Teams arriving after 11am will not be allowed to participate. Registration fee is $30 per team and uniform fine is $5 per day. Prizemoney up for grabs from losing semi-finalist to the eventual winner. Duty team - Grovers.

Vanua Challenge

THE Vanua Challenge will be held at the FMF Gymnasium on February 28 and March 1. Registration fee of $100 per team to be paid by February 25 into bank account number 5527135 ANZ, Fiji Volleyball Federation Development account or FVF head office at the Vodafone Arena. All participating teams must register their teams and forms can be picked from the FVF office. Registration forms will be sent via electronic mail to western affiliates. Briefing for central eastern teams will be held on February 25 at the FVF office at 5.30pm. Western affiliates will receive all relevant information about the Vanua Challenge via electronic mail before February 25. Gate fees will be $1 for children, $2 for players and officials and $4 for spectators.
