TWO people including a taxidriver, are in police custody in relation to an alleged stabbing incident that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man of Vuci Rd in Nausori.

Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the deceased was in a drinking party last Sunday with five other men where a fight broke out.

"The deceased was allegedly stabbed by a man and he ran across the road where he was hit by a passing taxi," Insp Sokomuri said.

Insp Sokomuri said the 33-year-old was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Police investigations are continuing.
