Domo ni Karmen musical returns to stage

Torika Tokalau
Thursday, February 13, 2014

THOSE who enjoyed watching the Domo Ni Karmen stage musical in 2009 have something to look forward to in April when Igelese Ete and Larry Thomas restage the show.

Ete, the head of USP's Oceania Centre, said the new Domo Ni Karmen would have more edge and a Fijian feel yet remain with the same structure.

"It is still set in a settlement," Ete said in an interview.

"The last one was quite stylised with very nice clothes, so we are trying to add more reality into it and we have local designer Aisea Konrote to give us the look."
