Wednesday, February 12, 2014

THE Nadi Rugby Union will hold a fitness test on Friday week for players wishing to represent the district this season.

The fitness test will be for players who want to be part of the senior, development and under-20 teams.

Nadi team manager Noa Neivalu said the fitness test was mandatory.

Neivalu said players failing to attend the test would not be considered.

"Players who cannot make it to the fittest test next Friday should contact our head coach Iliesa Tanivula for alternate arrangements," Neivalu said.

"All players will have to go through the test. It is very important that we have players who are on par with the fitness level required to play in the Vodafone Cup competition.

Nadi last won the National rugby title in 2008. Senior squad members are undergoing the second phase of their off season training.
