Mass marks Chinese New Year celebration

Update: 1:02PM MEMBERS of the Asian community gathered this morning for a Mass and celebration of the Chinese New Year at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Suva.

Leading the church service was the Archbishop Father Peter Loy Chong.

The service ended with members of the Fiji Chinese youth group performing the lion dance and the head of the Fiji Catholic Church feeding the lion with lettuce which symbolises growth, life and development.
