7s line-up a secret

Rodney Duthie In Wellington
Friday, February 07, 2014

BEN Ryan is keeping his cards close to his chest as the Wellington 7s prepares for game time today.

After ordering closed training sessions the last two days, Ryan also did not reveal his starting seven to face New Zealand yesterday.

"It's the last thing I'll be doing," Ryan said after being queried about his starting line-up.

"If I reveal it now (yesterday) it would give the opposition an advantage."

The players have also been told to refrain from speaking to the media.

Last night, Ryan was expected to hand out the jerseys to his players.

Yesterday, the side had a morning training session before taking the afternoon off.

Fiji faces New Zealand at 2.06pm today before taking on France at 5.35pm and Spain at 8.34pm.

The side trails South Africa and New Zealand on the series points table.
