Women Ministry receives LICI cash injection

Update: 4:55PM LIFE Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) is the first businesshouse to sponsor the National Women's Expo and Rural Designer awards night in August.

LICI handed over $15,000 to the Ministry of Women and Poverty Alleviation today in Suva.

Minister for Women Dr Jiko Luveni said the event was the first in Fiji and would attract more than 3000 rural women.

LICI general manager Vimlesh Dhar said the contribution was not just an obligation but an effort to uplift rural women.
