Siteri Sauvakacolo
Thursday, February 06, 2014

AN ARGUMENT over parking space yesterday resulted in a court appearance and fine for a taxidriver.

The Suva Magistrates Court heard that complainant James Suresh Kumar, 65, had returned to his base after dropping off passengers when he saw the accused Avinesh Kumar, 28, had parked his taxi at his base.

The complainant approached the accused to move his cab out of the base because he wanted to park his taxi.

However, as the complainant turned toward his taxi, the accused punched him on the back of his head.

Magistrate Makereta Mua fined Kumar $200.
