GOLF

National

THE National Golf Association of Fiji will host the Srixon Cleveland Fiji Amateur foursomes at Fiji Golf Club on 16th February. The 36 holes event will tee off at 7.30am with entry fees of $80 per pair would include lunch and light post games drinks. TO all Fiji netball umpires in Suva, Nausori, Nasinu, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Vatukoula, Ra, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Serua, Navua, Namosi and outer islands — because of the unfavourable weather conditions we are currently facing, it is unfortunate that the Fiji Netball Umpires Meeting has been postponed to Saturday, February 22 (10am to 12noon) at FASANOC. All Fiji Netball umpires are requested to attend this meeting and you are requested to call the Umpires secretary on 7030143 or the co-ordinator on 9344826 for more information.

Nadroga

ALL current Nadroga senior and interested players who wish to represent Nadroga for this season (2014) are requested to meet at Lawaqa Park 8.30am. Registration begins at 8.30am followed by a trial game. Invitation is also extended to all U23 players to be at the grounds.

Nadroga AGM

THE Nadroga annual general meeting for Nadroga Rugby will be held at 10am tomorrow at the Rugby House, Talenavuruvuru in Sigatoka. All affiliated clubs are requested to submit nominations for the following positions in the executive committee by March 1. Hakwa 10s

THE Hakwa 10s series will be a two-tournament series with the first on February 14 and the second on February 21. Tournament 1 registration fee is $200 for the first 32 teams that register by 4pm on February 10. Cup winner gets $2500. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competition. Tournament 2 registration fee is $200 for the first 32 teams that register by 4pm February 17. Cup winner gets $2500. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competitions. All clubs are welcome to participate. Teams that participate in both tournaments have a chance to accumulate points and win the Hakwa 10s Series 2014 and $1000. THE Martintar 7s tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from February 28 to March 1. Prizemoney: winner $3000, runner-up $1000. Attractive prizemoney for other categories. Registration fee is $300 per team. There are only 48 places and interested teams are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. Namosi

THE Namosi Rugby Union will be opening its competition for this year with a 10s tournament at Thomson Park, Navua. The competition begins on February 22 and all teams are requested to pay their registration fees of $50. Registration forms are with the Namosi Provincial Council office in Navua. PLEASE be advised that the new date set for the SGM is Saturday, February 8, at Nadi's Tanoa International Hotel. The agenda items remain the same with registration starting from 9am-9.30am. Names of union delegates are to be submitted to the FRU by 4pm Monday, February 3.

Red Rock 7s

THE Red Rock 7s tournament will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from February 28 to March 1. Total prizemoney is $10,000. The cup winner walks away with $5000 and also prizes for other categories. We will only accommodate 32 teams that pay their registration fees of $300/per team before February 24.
