'Crystal like substance' found on man, 60

Update: 10:49PM FIJI Revenue and Customs Authority officials have intercepted a person carrying more than 7.5kg of crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine at the Nadi International Airport.

A statement from FRCA said the incident happened last Sunday when a 60-year-old suspect travelling on an American passport arrived from Hong Kong.

Authority said during the process, the suspects baggage was inspected and crystal like substance were found concealed in a black plastic, stacked in a false walling around his suitcase.

FRCA has referred the case to police for further investigations.
