TO all Fiji netball umpires in Suva, Nausori, Nasinu, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Vatukoula, Ra, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Serua, Navua, Namosi and outer islands - due to the unfavourable weather conditions we are currently facing, it is unfortunate that the Fiji Netball Umpires Meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to Saturday, February 22 (10am to 12noon) at FASANOC. All Fiji Netball Umpires are requested to attend this meeting and you are requested to call the Umpires Secretary on 7030143 or the Coordinator on 9344826 for more information.

Hakwa 10s

THE Hakwa 10s series will be a two-tournament series with the first on February 14 and the second on February 21. Tournament 1 registration fee is $200 for the first 32 teams that register by 4pm on February 10. Cup winner gets $2500. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competition. Tournament 2 registration fee is $200 for the first 32 teams that register by 4pm February 17. Cup winner gets $2500. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competitions. All clubs are welcome to participate. Teams that participate in both tournaments have a chance to accumulate points and win the Hakwa 10s Series 2014 and $1000. Martintar

THE Martintar 7s tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from February 28 to March 1. Prizemoney: winner $3000, runner-up $1000. Attractive prizemoney for other categories. Registration fee is $300 per team. There are only 48 places and interested teams are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. Namosi

THE Namosi Rugby Union will be opening its competition for this year with a 10s tournament at Thomson Park, Navua. The competition begins on February 22 and all teams are requested to pay their registration fees of $50. Registration forms are with the Namosi Provincial Council office in Navua. THE Bure Unity 7s tournament will be held on February 8 at Wainibuka Secondary School grounds. First 24 teams that pay entry fees of $200 by February 6 will be accommodated. Winner gets $2000. FRU SGM

PLEASE be advised that the new date set for the SGM is Saturday, February 8, at Nadi's Tanoa International Hotel. The agenda items remain the same with registration starting from 9am-9.30am. Names of union delegates are to be submitted to the FRU by 4pm Monday, February 3.

Red Rock 7s

THE Red Rock 7s tournament will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from February 28 to March 1. Total prizemoney is $10,000. The cup winner walks away with $5000 and also prizes for other categories. We will only accommodate 32 teams that pay their registration fees of $300/per team before February 24.
