Toddler drowns in creek

Update: 2:05PM A two-year-old girl drowned yesterday afternoon.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed the toddler from Vunato Settlement in Lautoka was found floating in the Vunato Creek around 4.30pm.

Ms Naisoro said the young girl was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Police investigations continue..

The drowning toll stands at eight so far this year..
