Burns victim dies in Australia

Update: 4:07PM A FORMER Fiji citizen has died in a hospital in Sydney following burns to 80 per cent of her body and face.

Monika Chetty, who sustained the injuries at the beginning of January in West Hoxton, New South Wales, was hospitalised for about a month after being found in the bushland in the area.

According to ABC News Network, the 39-year-old woman died yesterday as a direct result of the injuries. 

Australian police say their investigations are continuing and a report will be prepared for the coroner..
