Roads closed

ABOUT 30 roads were closed to all traffic in the Western Division yesterday after heavy rain caused flooding in some areas.

According to an Information Ministry statement, the closed roads included Valley Rd at Varealobo crossing and Matewale, Kavanagasau Rd before Vunaqoru, Nasau, Ulusila crossing, Kabisi crossing and Lomawai crossing in Sigatoka.

In Nadi, roads affected by flooding included Arolevu, Chunilal, Savalau, Namulomulo, Naren Singh, Waloko, Mate, Nadi back road, Sabeto, Lomawai, Nasevula and Lavusa. Some roads were also closed in Lautoka and Ba.
