North identify evacuation centres

Update: 12:08AM SOME schools and the Civic Centre auditorium in Labasa have been identified by the acting commissioner northern Alipate Bolalevu as standby evacuation centres.

Those affected by the rising floodwater levels have been requested to take shelter at the allocated places.

Mr Bolalevu and his team are also on standby to monitor the weather situation.

Police officers are also on patrol and advising the public to take extra caution during the experienced bad weather.
