Update: 7:13PM FOURTEEN families from Nasigatoka Village have been evacuated to the Nasigatoka District School.

According to the villagers, flood water entered the village at 2pm.

Vehicles have been stranded at the end of Nasigatoka Village for more than four hours as water entered Sigatoka Town.

Fipe Ratumeli said her family had to move to the evacuation centre because their home was the first to be affected.

"The flood water continue rise although rain had stopped," Ms Ratumeli said.
