Restriction on movement from 5pm

By FELIX CHAUDHARY
Thursday, January 30, 2014

Update: 3:41PM ACCESS into town centres in the Western Division will be restricted from 5pm today.

Commissioner Western Commander Joeli Cawaki made the announcement saying the restriction on movement is to reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring due to wet weather and flooding in most parts of the division.

"Police and military personnel will be monitoring all movements of members of the public to ensure that no accidents happen," he said.

The precautionary measure is being implemented as the weather is expected to worsen later this afternoon.
