Update: 10:15AM THE NADI River has reached critical level but has not exceeded the flood level threshold yet, says Fiji Meteorological Service director Alipate Waqaicelua.

"Because of this, we are holding off the issuing of flood alerts for Nadi Town," he said.

"However, should the situation change, we will issue the appropriate alerts."

The Nadi River was at 3.9m in town and 6m at Votualevu at 8am this morning.
