Thursday, January 30, 2014

Update: 9:52AM BA and Rakiraki river levels are low and not expected to break their banks at this time.

This was the word from Fiji Meteorological Service director Alipate Waqaicelua this morning.

"The information that we received is that it is not raining at these centres at this time and river levels are not near the critical stage," he said.

Mr Waqaicelua said he would continue to monitor the two areas and provide updates should the situation change.
