Move to higher grounds, public urged

Update: 9:24AM PEOPLE living in low-lying areas of Navusa, Malolo and parts of Dratabu and Nawaka in Nadi have been advised to move to higher grounds.

This, after the Nadi River reached critical level as a result of heavy downpour over the last 48 hours.

Nadi district officer Jiuta Waqavonovo has urged members of the public to be on alert.

The Nadi Emergency Operations centre is now active and can be contacted on 6700101.

People can also call the district officer Nadi on 9782850 or Western Division Emergency Operation Centre on 6662350.
