Lautoka

THE Pacific Energy Lautoka Basketball League will be held at the multi-purpose courts on Friday. 5.30pm: Trojans-Blazers1, Veterans-Blazers 2; 6.15pm: West Saints-Blue Devils, Shine On-Namoli; 7pm Cougars-Trojans, Nabekavu-Tribal; 7.45pm: Veterans-Namoli, Shine On-Blazers. Court fees: $1.50 per player. Duty team: Blue Devils.

THE senior squad training will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm at Lawaqa. THE Hakwa 7s series will be a two-tournament series with the first being the AIP 7s on February 1 and the second being the Drua Kuata 7s on February 8. AIP 7s registration fee is $200 for the first 24 teams by 4pm tomorrow. Cup winner gets $2000. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competitions. Drua Kuata 7s registration fee is $300 for the first 24 teams. Cup winner gets $3000. Prizes and points will also be given for plate and bowl competitions. All clubs are welcome to participate. THE Martintar 7s tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from February 28 to March 1. Prizemoney: winner $3000, runner-up $1000. Attractive prizemoney for other categories. Registration fee is $300 per team. There are only 48 places and interested teams are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. Namosi

THE Namosi Rugby Union will be opening its competition for this year with a 10s tournament at Thomson Park, Navua. The competition begins on February 22 and all teams are requested to pay their registration fees of $50. Registration forms are with the Namosi Provincial Council office in Navua. PLEASE be advised that the new date set for the SGM is Saturday, February 8, at Nadi's Tanoa International Hotel. The agenda items remain the same with registration starting from 9am-9.30am. Names of union delegates are to be submitted to the FRU by 4pm Monday, February 3.

Red Rock 7s

THE Red Rock 7s tournament will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from February 28 to March 1. Total prizemoney is $10,000. The cup winner walks away with $5000 and also prizes for other categories. We will only accommodate 32 teams that pay their registration fees of $300/per team before February 24.
