Evacuation centres open in Nadi

Update: 8:48AM PARTS of Nadi are under water and evacuation centres have been activated at St Andrews Primary School, Nadi College, Sangam SKM College and Nadi Muslim College.

The Information Ministry issued a statement at 8.23am saying the following areas are under water - Qeleloa Bridge, Nadi Back Road from Ratu Naevo Link Rd to Tatas Restaurant, Nawajikuma settlement, Namulomulo, Saravi, Navakai, Togomasi area and nearby low-lying areas and Lavusa.

People living in these areas are advised not to attempt crossing waterways or venturing into flooded areas.
