By FELIX CHAUDHARY
Thursday, January 30, 2014

Update: 8:43AM SCHOOLS in the Western Division are closed.

The Ministry of Education issued an advisory this morning informing parents to keep their children at home and out of harm's way because of the adverse weather conditions experienced in the division.

Education Ministry spokesman David Ali said school heads in other parts of the country were also advised to use their discretion and to observe weather conditions in their respective areas.

"We are asking school heads in other parts of the country to look at the weather and make decisions based on the safety of school children," he said.

Mr Ali said the schools would be closed until further notice.
