Valley Road partially closed

By SAMANTHA RINA
Wednesday, January 29, 2014

Update: 8:00AM A PORTION of the Sigatoka Valley Road, approximately 75km from Sigatoka, will be closed until further notice.

A Ministry of Information statement said this was due to the washing away of a large culvert caused by the continuous heavy rain faced in the Western Division.

High water levels are present throughout the division and heavy rain forecasts over the next few days are likely to cause further damage.

The Fiji Roads Authority pleaded with all road users to avoid flooded crossings and to take care on wet roads during this time.
