Tuesday, January 28, 2014

THE Commissioner Western's office has set aside $20,000 for the immediate repair of government houses.

Commander Joeli Cawaki said the funding was for minor works.

He said the repairs would be carried out on vacant quarters before a new tenant moves in.

Meanwhile Cdr Cawaki said civil servants would be stopped from handing over government quarters to other civil servants without proper authorisation.

"This is how we have some occupants that are not supposed to be in the quarters living in the quarters," he said.
