Easy income source

VILLAGES that have an abundance of Tahitian apple or wi trees will have an opportunity to sell their fruit to export markets in New Zealand soon.

Nature's Way Co-operative believes that the sale of the fruit could provide an easy source of income for indigenous village communities in the Western Division.

CEO Michael Brown said at a recent heads of quarantine meeting that the agreement had been reached for Pacific island nations to sell the fruit to New Zealand as long as biosecurity protocols were followed and standards met.
