Update: 1:24PM POLICE foiled a robbery getaway which ended in a high speed chase and the arrest of a suspect.

An investigation has started into the early morning robbery at the INKK Booth at the Suva market early this morning.

According to police, three men stole the safe and fled in taxi, registration number LT5236.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said police chased the taxi in a vehicle, resulting in the same taxi crashing into the Carpenters Motors showroom in Walu Bay.

"One of the suspects was arrested at the scene while two are on the run," Ms Naisoro said.
