20 cameras for Suva, Lautoka ports

Update: 11:46AM IN an effort to improve security, the Fiji Revenue Customs Authority signed an agreement today with Fiji Ports Corporation Limited for the upgrading of cameras at the Suva and Lautoka ports.

In a statement today, FRCA said the agreement would see the installation of 20 cameras by Professional Electronics Limited.

"The security of our ports is important and critical to FPCL and FRCA," said FRCA CEO Jitoko Tikolevu said.

"This is an important investment for FRCA as we try and improve technologies to facilitate our work in border control."
