Update: 11:00AM INTERNATIONAL School Suva welcomed 536 students and four new teachers today.

The school hosted the students, especially the new students, parents and teachers to a morning tea which followed the first school assembly of the year at Laucala Beach.

School principal Dr Anna Marsden said 2014 was an exciting year for the school with a new building.

"2014 is an exciting year for the country and for the school. There is progress in the school with our new building, our numbers are going up and we feel buoyant.

"But that buoyancy is mirrored in and around Fiji as we look towards the 2014 elections."
