Support for Fiji 7s team

THE Fiji 7s team is overwhelmed with the support of the fans in the United States ahead of the Las Vegas 7s tournament this weekend.

Coach Ben Ryan said they were thankful to the fans who've joined the team in Las Vegas.

He also said the team was to meet maestro Waisale Serevi, who is based in Seattle, USA.

"Support is great — been very helpful. I saw Serevi at lunch today (yesterday) and he will certainly come in to say hi to the boys," Ryan told Times Sport.

Fiji will play Scotland in its opening pool match at 1.06pm tomorrow followed by the match against Australia at 4.02pm.

The Osea Kolinisau-skippered side will take on New Zealand in its final pool match on Sunday at 9.50am.

Coach Ryan said the side was taking a step at a time to ensure a good outing at the Sam Boyd Stadium.

"They have just got their heads down and worked hard and rested when they needed to," he added.
