THE Malaysian Embassy will defend the Ambassadors Golf Day at the Natadola Bay Championship course on Saturday week.

The pair of BH Ung and former Malaysian ambassador to Fiji Nor Azam won the inaugural event last year.

National Golf Association of Fiji secretary Amitesh Chandra said the entry for the two player Ambrose event would close this Saturday.

Chandra said the event would unite the various embassy representatives and the prominent business people in the competitive spirit of golf.

"We expect a tougher competition this year," he said.

"The interest is overwhelming and the course is in top condition"

The tournament will tee off at 10am.
