City, police strengthen ties

Update: 10:40AM THE Duavata Policing Unit and the Suva City Council today strengthened their relationship as they aimed to further reduce the crime rate in the Central Division.

The event was marked with a certificate handover from the Duavata Policing Unit to SCCs acting CEO Bijay Chand at the Council Chambers.

The relationship between the two parties began in July last year and Mr Chand said it was a step in the right direction as they had recorded a reduction in crime in Suva.
