Digicel confirms increase in investment in Fiji rugby

Digicel, proud sponsors of Fiji Rugby since 2006 yesterday officially announced that it has matched a competitive offer for sponsorship of Fiji Rugby's properties, submitting the required documents to FRU House yesterday morning.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Maurice McCarthy revealed that Digicel has invested over $F15m in the past seven years, and as such retains a contractual right referred to as an 'Option to Match' which it has duly exercised yesterday.

Digicel is delighted to confirm that there's a significant increase in its investment in Fiji Rugby which entails all Fiji Rugby properties, and which continues a great partnership.

Mr. McCarthy acknowledges the tireless work and the professional approach in dealing with the sponsorship process by the Fiji Rugby Union board.
