Tuesday, January 21, 2014

THE Fiji Corrections Service has expressed its sincere gratitude to members of the public in the North for their assistance in the successful recapture of escapee, David Solomone.

FCS public relations officer Kuini Waqasavou said Solomone was recaptured at 3pm on Sunday in Naburesova in Bua.

Ms Waqasavou said Solomone had escaped from a work party outside of the Vaturekuka Corrections facility on Tuesday last week.

"Solomone was admitted on October 19, 2013 for the offence of burglary and theft and is serving a sentence of 18 months and 30 days," she said

"The Fiji Corrections Service would like to thank members of the public in the Northern Division for their co-operation that has seen the successful recapture of Solomone."
