No move for Fiji in FIFA world rankings

Zanzeer Singh
Saturday, January 18, 2014

FIJI remains on the 182 position in the latest FIFA world rankings released this week.

The national side is placed sixth in the Oceania region behind leader New Zealand (91), New Caledonia (121), Tahiti (141), the Solomon Islands (172) and Vanuatu (179).

Fiji has not played any international matches since facing the Fair Play Brazil team in 2012.

Efforts to arrange for fixtures against Vanuatu and New Caledonia proved futile last year.

Spain remains the top footballing nation in the world followed by Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal rounding up the top five.
