YOUNGSTER Ruby Coffin was one of the top performers during the national junior tennis team's two-week tour of Australia.

Coffin won the girl's singles consolation final in the Wodonga Junior Grass Courts Championship in Melbourne last weekend.

The 13-year-old defeated fellow national rep Vienna Kumar.

The seven-member team also participated in the Margret Court Cup Championship.

Fiji junior coach Sachin Reddy said the tour was a success.

"These players now know where they stand," he said.

"The tour was a learning experience for them. They fared well against stronger opponents.

"Devrath Narayan teamed with Heve Kelly from Tahiti and they reached the boy's doubles final.

"The other players reached the second and third stages."
