Late Tui Nakelo laid to rest

Update: 3:29PM THE Tui Nakelo Ratu Manasa Talakuli, 74 was laid to rest at the chiefly burial ground at Nauluvatu, Nakelo earlier today.

Hundreds of family members gathered to pay their last respect.

Amongst them were Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi, Adi Litia Cakobau and the Tui Vuda Ratu Eparama Kitione Tavaiqia and other chiefs from the province of Tailevu.

Also present were representatives from the British High Commission and former British Army officers who served with the late Ratu Manasa.

His wife Adi Samanunu Talakuli Cakobau passed away last year and they have only one son Ratu Josefa Natuituba Talakuli.
