Life for villagers

FINDING a market to sell their catch has not been a problem.

The villagers of Naboutini in Saqani have depended on the sea and yaqona farms for a living.

Village headman Tupeni Dulu said selling fish in the markets of Labasa and Savusavu had also not been a problem.

"The villagers receive orders from relatives and friends organising functions in their own places," he said.

"Apart from that, we also travel to Savusavu and Labasa to sell the fish. We also sell to agents in town who buy other kinds of sea slugs."
