Man drowns

Update: 1:35PM NADI resident Pauliasi Canivalu, 28, has become the latest drowning victim.

A police statement said Mr Canivalu went missing while swimming towards the Nadi Back Road bridge with two other friends at about midday yesterday.

Following a search, Mr Canivalus body was discovered floating near the bridge.

The drowning toll stands at four compared to one for the same period last year.
