BASKETBALL

Raiwaqa

THE Raiwaqa Basketball Association will begin its Super League tournament on February 1 and all interested clubs are to contact Saula Koroi 9097892 or Peniasi Kainamoli 9991811 for registration. Entries close on January 27.

HAPKIDO

YMCA classes

HAPKIDO classes are being held at the YMCA. Interested individuals above the age of 15 years are welcome to attend. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm. Contact Jare Lalakai 8736700.

NETBALL

Burebasaga

A tournament will be held at Burebasaga District School grounds on January 18. Competition will be for women and mixed teams. Registration for women is $50 and mixed $40. Winners: Women $150, mixed $100. Other consolation prizes as well. First eight women's and four mixed teams to register with full payment will be accepted. Registration closes on January 15. Greenman Navosa

THE Greenman landscaping development program will be held on February 19-20 at Vatumali, Navosa. Interested players are invited to attend. Coaching and umpiring clinics will be held on the day. Unaisi Rokoura and Losalini from Netball Fiji will be present. Interested players and coaches are to confirm attendance by calling 9949410 or 6520677. Invitation open to primary, secondary school teams and clubs. A tournament will be also held on the day.

Navosa

A NETBALL tournament will be held on January 15-16 at Draiba Village grounds at 8am. Registration fee is $80 per team. Winner gets $500, runner-up $200, losing semi-finalists $75 and best player $50. Interested teams in Nadroga/Navosa are welcome to participate. Only first 24 teams will be accepted. Entries close January 10.

* AGM for Navosa Netball will also be held on January 15 from 7pm and all clubs to send two reps to attend the AGM. Contact manager Sifini 8406650, Judy 9949410 or Nene Vilise at Draiba Village. We will also run development teams (U13, U15, U17 and U19) during our new season next year.

RUGBY

Ba

THE Ba Rugby Union annual general meeting will be held on January 24 at the Ba Town Council conference room at 2pm. All club reps should be present.

Ovalau

THE Ovalau Rugby Football Union will have pre-season rugby clinics from January 20-24 from 9.30am at Nasau Park. Clinic will be run by Island Breeze Rugby Plus Australia.

Naitasiri

The following players are requested to attend a training session (fitness test) on January 18 at the HPU Gym at 10am. Attendance is compulsory as the coaching staff and management will brief players on off-season training program for 2014.

Nadi U20

ALL interested players wishing to represent the Nadi Rugby Union under-20 in 2014 and have missed out on the fitness test last Thursday are requested to attend the fitness test on the following dates outlined.

Endurance run: U20 players to attend their endurance run tomorrow (January 15) at the Airport Ground from 5pm.

Weight Training: U20 players to attend their weight training today, Thursday and Friday at NASA gym from 9am to 12midday. It is compulsory for U20 players to attend this fitness test before their trial if they are to be considered for the 2014 rugby season. Players are also requested to bring their original birth certificate and one passport size photo along with their training gear (running shoes, face towel and water bottle). Gaunvou 7s

THE Gaunavou 7s tournament will be held at the Ba market grounds on January 25. First 32 teams to pay $100 entry fee will be accommodated. Main prize is $1000. Contact Driu 8402853.

Lomavata 7s

THE Lomavata 7s tournament will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka on January 18. First 32 teams to pay $400 entry fee before January 16 will be accommodated. First prize $5000. Contact Driu 8402853, Vili 9735896, Emosi 9224899. Bus leaves Sigatoka and Vatukoula at 7am. $10 return. If more buses are needed contact Driu before Thursday.

Burebasaga Development 7s

THE Burebasaga Development 7s will be held at Burebasaga District School grounds in Rewa on the January 17-18. Registration fees for seniors is $180 and under-20s $120. Cup winner gets $1300, runner-up $500. Plate winner $250, runner-up $100, Bowl winner $100 and runner-up $80. U20 winner receives $400 and runner-up $100. First 24 teams for seniors and eight teams for U20s with full payment of registration will be accepted. Valid photo ID for under 20s, no birth certificates will be accepted. RUGBY LEAGUE

Lautoka Crushers

ALL players wishing to be part of the Lautoka Crushers under-14, U16, U18 and premier grades are requested to attend trials at the Fiji National University ground at 10am on January 25. Contact Mesake Navugona 9104628, 9991589.

Nabua Broncos

SNOOKER

AGM

THE Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji will convene its annual general meeting (AGM) on Sunday, January 19 at the Lautoka Club. Two delegates from each affiliated club are eligible to attend.

SOCCER

Tailevu Naitasiri

THE Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association will host its AGM on January 29 at Vunimono High School at 7pm. Nominations for three vice-president positions and assistant secretary's position closes seven days before the AGM and all motions must reach the acting secretary 14 days prior to the AGM. All affiliated clubs are requested to attend the meeting.

TABLE TENNIS

Suva

TABLE Tennis training clinics for school children and beginners are held at the Garden City hall (on top of Kia Motors) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm to 5pm. Adults are invited to play table tennis on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Sundays from 1pm to 3pm at the same venue. All playing equipment are provided. VOLLEYBALL

Security Forces

THE Security Forces Volleyball Association Vulaca squad training will be held at the DAV Boys College grounds in Nabua from today 3pm to 6pm daily. All players are to attend. For more information contact Timoci Senibici 3361120.

Vulaca Championship

THE Vulaca Championship is scheduled for January 24 and 25 at the FMF Gymnasium (and its carpark if the need arises). Registration fee is $100 per team with a maximum of five men's and five women's teams per association. Affiliation fees must be paid first before registration fees. All associations must register teams and forms can be picked up from the FVF head office at the Vodafone Arena. Payments of affiliation and registration fees can be made directly into the FVF account or FVF head office at the Vodafone Arena to FVF administrator Kenny Lidise 9059099, 9383985. Participating associations will be contacted for a briefing prior to the games.
