A FAMILY in Nadi is still searching for 49-year-old Subashni Devi who went missing from her home on December 4 last year.

Narayan Gounder of Savunawai, Votualevu in Nadi said he spent the past few weeks searching for his wife, but until yesterday nothing had come of it.

He said he reported the matter to police earlier and to his surprise, he was informed that his wife had in fact left for New Zealand.

"I have contacted all her relatives but couldn't locate her," Mr Goundar said.

"I am pleading to members of the public to contact any nearest police station should they have any information about my wife."

Mr Narayan's daughter Yatishma Gounder said the family was in the dark about her mother's plan.

"My mother last told the family that she wanted to visit one of our relatives at Viseisei, Lautoka," Ms Goundar said.

"This was also the last time we saw her until being told by police she left the country for Auckland."

A police report showed that Mrs Devi had flown out of the country to New Zealand on December 5.

Mr Gounder said a reward would be given to anyone who had information surrounding his wife's whereabouts.
