Highlanders claim Fijian Brothers title

NAKASI Highlanders is the winner of the Fijian Brothers Trophy at the Uluinakau 7s tournament.

The Highlanders thumped Nadi 29-0 in the final at Ratu Cakobau Park yesterday.

Earlier on the day, the side beat Uni Barbarians 19-5 in the semi-finals to proceed to the final while Nadi edged neighbours Lautoka 7-5.

The competition for Fijians with Indian-decent was called the Fijian Brothers by the organisers.

Meanwhile in the shield final, Waibasaga edged Ovalau-based club Tauranga 12-10 to win the competition.

Waibasaga, defeated Nasinu Crusaders 5-0 while Tauranga beat a young Uprising Beach Resort team 12-7 in the semi-finals.
