X brings its game to Ed's Court

THE Raiwaqa Volleyball Association started its 2014 season with an inter lane format competition at Ed's Court yesterday.

Tops teams like X, Mighty Derricks and Red Beard competed in the day-long event which was played in round robin basis.

Association official Erami Rasaubale said they were impressed with the turnout adding they would begin the competition proper from next week.

"From next week we will have challenge games where the winner of today's (yesterday) competition will defend the challenge trophy which will be competed every week," Rasaubale said.

"We will also have prizemoney of the challenge game."

X and Mighty Derricks were on track of being crowned the winner of yesterday's competition which was underway when this edition went to press.
