Ministry, mine discuss health service options

IN an effort to boost health services, Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma visits Vatukoula today to discuss the placement of a resident registered practitioner with the management of Vatukoula Gold Mines.

Dr Sharma said the arrangement would ensure the clinic was able to facilitate health services in Vatukoula and the surrounding community.

"These discussions are part of a public-private partnership which will broaden health services to this community," he said.

"As such, public health services will be decentralised from Tavua Hospital.

"The Health Ministry will support the health facility with necessary medical supplies and equipment," said Dr Sharma
